LOS AMIGOS: UNBOTTLED!

In deepest, darkest Oxfordshire there is the tiny town of Faringdon. Not many realise that it is a hub of musical activity, full of creatives, artists, musicians, DJs but more to the point… these people like to party!

In the Summer of 2023 we were invited to a festival (Folly Fest) in the town centre (just think on that a moment…a FESTIVAL in the TOWN CENTRE…) to run a Tap Social bar. Little did we know we’d be serving hundreds of pints to thousands of people! Loads of food, drinks, art, crafts and stages full of music and theatrical performers!

One stage that caught our eye was tucked into The Old Crown’s pub garden had a crew of local DJs, LOS AMIGOS they called themselves…all 10+ of them! All local music fanatics, brought together by a love of vinyl records and DJing. All genres covered from modern dance music, 80s/90s house, breaks and garage, through to classic funk & soul, reggae and 2tone…and they had the place rammed with people bouncing off the cobbles, all weekend, despite wind and rain!
